Young At Heart

Ministry Description

YOUNG AT HEART Ministry is FBC's ministry to seniors. On the 2nd Tuesday of each month there is a worship service. The service includes singing hymns, worshipping God together and an inspirational message from one of our FBC pastors. Following the service is a festive luncheon with decorated tables, delicious food donated by participants and those with a heart for our seniors, as well as a tremendous amount of fun.

Service Time: 11:30 am - 12:15 pm.

Luncheon: 12:30 to approximately 1:30 pm.

We also make home visits to shut-ins and hospital visits as needed.

Interests & Skills:
A love of seniors, cooking skills, decorating skills

Spiritual Gifts:
Any of the following: Hospitality, helps, Servant's heart and/or encouragement.

Opportunities to Serve

• Prepare a dish for the Senior Luncheon
• Drivers to help FBC seniors get to activities, doctor's office or the grocery store as needed
• Assist in decorating luncheon tables
• Making visitation calls with other seniors
